Society • Confirmed-This Writer Fired from Examiner For Not Promoting Homosexuality!

Exclusive:  Exhibited below are the email exchanges between your web host and Examiner.com that fired me this last Friday. Like any liberal media, reporters are required to endorse and promote homosexuality as a desired and viable life style.The truth is censored.

The emails below, including my answer shows in their words that I can make no disparaging remarks about homosexuals and remain a writer. The emails start with my response to their email when I insisted upon knowing why I was bounced from their writing pool. The emails work their way to the original received Friday announcing that i was toast. And take a look at the two stories in question; Welcome to The Gayly News, and Obama’s Bows in an Uproar? on this website.  You will not see any threats or insulting remarks to Gays. However I did not ENSORSE OR PROMOTE the ‘gay lifestyle,’ which is now required of writers.

Dear Mr. Futterman,

Thank you for the courtesy of a reply. It is difficult to understand why such a drastic action was taken suddenly without any notice or even warning regarding the content of my stories.  In your first email you spoke of my ‘continual’ violation of the terms of agreement. (?) Then, you specifically stated that this has to do with my last two columns.That contradicts your statement and charge agasint me that I was in ‘continual’ violation.’ You specifically addressed my last TWO columns. That does not define ‘continual.’

The commentary on the 4th of July detailed how Obama bowed to foreign leaders. I don’t see how a factual story violated your rules. The next story had to do with homosexuals and the media, a factual account of how the media backs the gay agenda. You mention that I provided no factual evidence regarding the shortened life spans of those in the homosexual community. I do not bog my readers down in statistics except when a particular situation is little known or studied. I do not provide stats when the discussion concerns something that has been written and published widely and consistently with data including studies by the Atlanta Center for Disease Control..

My two stories that you perceived to be objectionable absolutely did not include the following:  violates any laws or regulations, contains any threats, is abusive, tortious, harassing, vulgar, obscene, indecent, violates any person’s rights of privacy or publicity, is defamatory, libelous, hateful, contains any disparaging statements or opinions regarding racial, gender or ethnic background, or is otherwise objectionable;

As far as ‘disagreeable opinions,’ the very core of newspaper reporting is to present various view points of a subject. I grew up around newspapers and differing opinions was an expected part of journalism and opens the way for healthy debate.  Apparently, for The Examiner,  ‘disparaging statements or opinions’ means that a political view is either endorsed and promoted by the journalist or that person is axed.. This is not freedom of the press.

It is regrettable that you have taken this sudden (without notice) action. We both lost in this one. In any case, I wish you nothing but the best.

Sincerely,
Austin Miles

Austin,

Articles in both of your Examiner columns violated the site’s terms of use specifically:

You agree that you will not post to the Site, or use the Site to transmit or make available any Content that:
violates any laws or regulations, contains any threats, is abusive, tortious, harassing, vulgar, obscene, indecent, violates any person’s rights of privacy or publicity, is defamatory, libelous, hateful, contains any disparaging statements or opinions regarding racial, gender or ethnic background, or is otherwise objectionable;

Much of your content was commentary and contained no factual evidence for many claims such as “...homosexuals who have the shortest life spans of any other group of people due to the diseases their abnormal sexual activity provokes.”

Consequently all of your content has been removed from the site.  As previously stated, we appreciate the time, effort and consideration you put into this work, and any amounts you have earned (pursuant to the “Examiners” Independent Contractor Agreement and License you entered into with Examiner.com) will be paid to you according to our usual payment schedule and the terms of the Examiner.com Payment Policy.

Examiner,
I MUST have an explanation of your suddenly ctting me from The Examiner without any notice whatsoever. Again, please grant me the simple courtesy of answering this reasonable request. I just recently recruited a reporter for you, Jerry Newcombe and of course we expect the 50 dollars promised as well as any other funds coming to me. I do have a paypal account established. But mainly I need to know why this sudden and drastic action was taken to ellimilnate me from your pool of writer and immediately scrub all of my stories from your website. This doesn’t make sense. I am not awaare of any violations.

Dear Mr. Futterman,
I have no idea HOW I violated the terms of use of the Examiner. I have never received any kind of notification that I was doing that. Indeed, I just recruited a new Exminer. I did not know I had committed ONE violation much less, continued.  Please grant me the courtesy of an explanation.
