General • L.B. Neal- Publisher of American Daily Passed Away Today

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of LB Neal, the founder and publisher of American Daily at 12:50 at his home in Arizona. His wife Pati was at his side.  Neal had hoped to vote and live through the election. The results were very important to him. He wanted to see tonight’s debate between Romney and Obama. I had talked with Neal a few days ago.

His on-line paper was a cutting commentary of the political news of the day which was evolving wildly during his last years. He lived for politics, which alarmed the government as his stories began cutting a little too close to the quick for their comfort, along with prominent servers that threatened to shut him down.

He also was a webmaster who encouraged me to start a blog, which he built and maintained. Neal had advised how important a blog would be for this ministry. He was very right. Today one million forty eight thousand plus readers check in and that number is growing by the thousands. He also started Alan Caruba’s blog which is another very prominent site.

Neal launched many new writers to the world including , Rev. Michael Bresciani, Cathy Taibbi who now is considered the leading wildlife and environmental journalist after first being published in American Daily, along with the host of this website.

One of his last deeds was to turn over his paid-for news site production capabilities to Chip Mclean to re-start his newspaper, Capitol Hill Coffee House, which had to shut down earlier due to financial constraints. Happily. thanks to Neal, that paper, www. is back on the air.

LB Neal’s strong and compelling presence on the news scene of world events will be greatly missed.
