MilesTones • News of the Morning—Cross Fire—Pakistan Warning

The forerunner of a legal move to tear down all crosses from view, including those in the National Cemetery heads for The U.S.Supreme Court. The liberal press deliberately leaves out an important part of the law they quoted. A necessary retreat to MilesTones gives us a unique view of the latest threat from Pakistan.

The Washington Post reported this morning that a battle is heating up in the Mojave Desert over a cross that was erected out in a remote area to honor the dead of World War 1. Since it sits on federal land, it has been judged to be an unconstitutional display of government favoritism of one religion over another. So, the dangerous Christian symbol has been covered with plywood so it cannot be seen. The case has been brought by ACLU along with Jewish and Muslim veterans and is heading to The Supreme Court.

The Post reports that the this is the first major chance to define the meaning of the First Amendment command that; “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.”

Hold on there..that is NOT a sentence ending in a period…but A COMMA…the liberal Washington Post deleberately leaves out the rest of the sentence which clearly states, “....or prohibiting the free excercise thereof.”  This makes a lot of difference in what that law actually says.

Facing this kind of disturbing news and deception compels us to retreat to a MilesTones take on this announcement from Pakistan. Reverend Ed Berkey (Ret) forwarded this urgent email to your scribe:

Warning From Pakistan

This morning, from a cave somewhere in Pakistan, Taliban Minister of Migration, Mohammed Omar, warned the United States that if military actions against Afghanistan continue, Taliban authorities intend to cut off America ‘s supply of Convenience Store Managers and possibly Motel 6 Managers. And if this action does not yield sufficient results, Cab Drivers will be next, followed by DELL and AOL Customer Service Reps. Finally, if all else fails, they have threatened to send us no more candidates for President of the United States! It’s gonna get ugly!

Remember, there is a seed of greatness in every one of you. Have a great day.
