According to Ministry News (7/23/09) the Anglican Church across the pond (UK) has created a service that marries unwed couples and baptizes their children, all in one whack.This is the church’s answer to the 44% of children in England born to unwed parents. Church of England representatives say that this is merely a case of adjusting to contemporary culture, hence the new “Hatch and Match” Sacrament. This unique twofer ceremony goes for $450 and is designed to get these couples and their kids on track. Wonder if they could throw in a funeral for grandma as well so they have a complete bargain package? People might go for that.
